Malaysia Peninsular Cool Highland, Pahang, Genting Highland

马来西亚半岛,彭亨州属云顶高原

Today, countless people around the world know of Resorts World Genting. An international power house whose integrated entertainment facilities have turned it into the City of Entertainment, it stands tall in its own right, 6,000 feet above sea level.

Maybe it’s the cool, inviting weather. Located only 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, Resorts World Genting is a welcome change from the heat and humidity of the city. Crisp, invigorating breezes keep things fresh at daytime temperatures of below 20 degrees Celsius, and the cool mountain air omits the need for air-conditioning at night. Cuddle up in your blankets and keep a steady supply of hot drinks on hand!

Or perhaps it’s the lush, green surroundings. Breathe in the pure air, untouched by city development, and enjoy the comforts of home amidst the natural environment of a 130-million-year-old rainforest. Wake to the beauty of dawn-tinged clouds right outside your window, and watch the evening sun set beyond the peak. It’s an experience not to be missed!

Maybe it’s the attractions. Entertainment born from decades of providing only the best sets Resorts World Genting in a league of its own. Enjoy world-class performances from a line-up of local and international stars, hold on for dear life on our thrilling theme park rides, broaden your horizons at mind-blowing exhibitions, and bundle up for negative degree temperatures at frosty SnowWorld.

Genting Highland Attraction

Take a cable car ride with Awana SkyWay
awana-skyway
Remember the decades-old Genting Skyway that was always rather tedious and rocky? It’s since been put out of service and taken over by the state-of-the-art 2.8km Awana SkyWay, with gorgeous vistas and a much smoother ride to boot. 10 minutes is all it takes to get from the bottom to the top (and vice versa), passing the midway Chin Swee Cave station – you can disembark at this point to visit the stunning pagoda – to reach the resort’s SkyAvenue station. Be sure to pick one of the glass-floored gondolas for uninterrupted views of the 130 million-year-old rainforest below.

Pamper yourself with ultimate luxury at Crockfords
crockfords
Crockfords is the new collection of suites within Maxims Hotel, offering the most exclusive and luxurious accommodation you’ll find in the entire resort. Think heated indoor swimming pool, personalised butler service, home theatre system, a wine chiller, and other unparalleled facilities intended to pamper the well-travelled, the discerning, and the most discriminating lot. The suites don’t come cheap though, with the largest unit going for RM20,000 per night.

Experience the best of Malaysian street food
malaysian-food-street
They say Malaysian food is some of the best in the world, and we can’t help but agree. Malaysian Food Street brings you the 20 most popular hawker stalls from around the country into one location, spread across five distinct zones: Little India, Malacca, Teluk Intan, Kuching, and Chinatown. Expect the mouthwatering spread to include the likes of Sarawak Laksa, Klang Bak Kut Teh, Hainanese Chicken Rice (Genting’s very own), Penang Char Kway Teow, and Sotong Kangkung. Truly a glutton’s square, if we may say so ourselves.

Shop at SkyAvenue Mall
skyavenue
Finally, a dedicated lifestyle space within Genting Highlands! At 1.4 million square feet, the sprawling SkyAvenue boasts top retail and restaurant brands from all around, with five whole levels of shopping, entertainment, nightlife, and dining choices. Opening in stages from the second half of 2017, get your wallets ready for a high street fashion floor, a luxury fashion floor, one of the most popular nightclubs in Asia, as well as a towering cineplex with IMAX facilities. Talk about an all-in-one destination, #amirite?

Dine at world-famous F&B chains
cafe-richards
Of the 70 F&B outlets across the five floors of SkyAvenue, look forward to some of the world’s most lavish restaurants setting up shop in the mall. Be transported to the cosy London neighbourhood of Mayfair with UK-chain Burger & Lobster, which specialises in premium beef burgers and Nova Scotian lobsters; to 1920s New York with Brooklyn pizza place Motorino and all its 10 pizzas; and then Paris with France’s top roaster Cafés Richard, where you’ll be able to enjoy original hand-brewed coffees. Also coming soon is the vibrant warmth of Spanish bodega Tapas & Wine.

Stay at First World Hotel’s new tower block

The legendary First World Hotel has always been one of Resorts World Genting’s more iconic buildings, both for its striking rainbow facade and its official title as the world’s largest hotel. Now, its trendy and contemporary new rooms at Tower Three – spread over the five categories of Standard, Deluxe, Superior Deluxe, Y5triple, and Y5 Deluxe – brings the total capacity to 7351 rooms, along with separate glass toilets and shower, international electric sockets, and at long last, complimentary Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Shop till you drop at Genting Premium Outlets
premium-resorts
The base of the resort – right next to Awana SkyWay station – will soon see the Genting Premium Outlets, marking Malaysia’s second Premium Outlets store after Johor. Expect 150 designer and brand name stores, including Coach, Gap Outlet, Converse, Nike and Polo Ralph Lauren, offering anything from 25% to 65% in savings; and if you’re driving up; there’ll be 4000 parking bays for cars waiting for you!

Visit the 20th Century Fox World Theme Park
theme-park
The old Genting Theme Park’s closure in 2013 meant a dip in visitors for the last few years, but that’s all about to change. Come end 2017, the first-ever Twentieth Century Fox World Theme Park in the world launch with a total of 22 rides and attractions, based on favourite Fox films like Planet of the Apes, Ice Age, Alien vs Predator, Night at the Museum, and Rio!

Our Art, Our Home
SeniKome Péng Hēng
The SeniKome Péng Hēng, East Coast Arts & Cultural Centre is a place where exploration and inspiration come together. Located in Level 3 of First World Plaza, the centre features a thematic showcase of art and cultural essences from Peninsular Malaysia’s East Coast states, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.

Seni Kome, which directly translates to “Our Art” in the Pahang local dialect is dedicated to promoting the beauty of East Coast Malaysia’s local craft, fashion, games, food and music. From authentic artifacts and paintings to an orang asli exhibition, SeniKome Péng Hēng tastefully depicts the distinctive charm of Péng Hēng, a traditional reference to the East Coast region.

A glimpse of the Genting story
Horizon 50
Spanning 16,000 sq ft, Horizon 50 showcases Genting’s inception and development.
Visitors will be able to retrace the footsteps of the founder the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong's dream and be enlightened on how Malaysia’s leading integrated resort came to be.
Come walk through the upcoming adventures at the Twentieth Century Fox World Malaysia at Horizon 50!

A showcase of Genting's inspiring success story
The Visitors' Galleria
The Visitors’ Galleria is where the resort pays tribute to its founder, Tan Sri Dato' Sri Lim Goh Tong, and his personal involvement in creating what is today one of the world's leading resort operators.
It proudly presents the history of Resorts World Genting, enabling visitors to gain a better understanding of how one man managed to build a resort empire.

Chin Swee Caves Temple
Explore this grand religious site located on a sharp, rocky slope near the peak of Resorts World Genting. Remember to visit the iconic nine-storey pagoda lit by lamps, the Sky Terrace, and the 15-metre high statue of Buddha.

Besides worshipping the Reverend Chin Swee, devotees can also pray to Buddha and Kwan-yin, whose statues stand behind the five-storey temple. Visitors can also embark on a journey of cultural exploration, travelling from hell to heaven in the afterlife in accordance with ancient Chinese traditions and beliefs.

Casinos
All casinos are open 24 hrs, although you must be over 21 and, if Malaysian, not Muslim to enter. A notional but widely ignored dress code applies, prohibiting T-shirts, shorts and sandals, and while there are theoretical non-smoking zones here and there, all casinos are wreathed in dense smoke. One final difference to Vegas: you can get a drink from the cafes inside, but there no cocktail waitresses.

Monte Carlo Casino, Genting/Highlands Hotel. This is easily the largest of the casinos and you'll probably find your vice of choice in here somewhere — they even have a few video poker machines. Visitors with foreign passports are allowed to enter the "International Room" VIP zone if they agree to sign up to WorldCard.
Hollywood Casino, Genting/Highlands Hotel.

StarWorld Casino, First World Hotel.
